How To Pack For A Move
Too much stuff to pack? Don’t know where to start? We found the smartest way to pack.
We require a $300 deposit for both Small and Standard moves and $600 for Large moves. Fully refundable if cancellation is requested at least 48 hours of our arrival time.
You pay for your move at the end of the move.
We accept all major credit cards and we also accept cash. We do not accept checks.
As with other service industries, you may wish to thank your movers by offering a gratuity if they do a wonderful job. Keep in mind that gratuity is not expected but is certainly appreciated.
On average, our crews typically receive tips that are around 10% to 15% of the final bill. Of course, if your movers were super duper awesome you can leave more if you like. Conversely, if you didn’t feel the movers lived up to your expectations, you don’t have to leave a tip at all.
Cash tips are usually preferred but you have the ability to leave a tip for your movers on a credit card if you prefer.
We get it. Moving can be expensive and sometimes a tip just doesn't fit in the budget. No worries. If you loved our service but can't leave a tip, a great alternative is to show your movers some love by leaving a review on Yelp, Google, or Facebook. A great review or a referral to friends and family means a lot!
Depending on what the move needs, we will use 16-26 foot box trucks. Every truck is outfitted with professional moving pads, dollies, toolkits, bungies, and everything else necessary to get you from point A to point B in the same condition you left in (if not better!).
All of trucks are equipped with a heavy duty loading ramp and a number of trucks have lift gates as well (especially useful in certain circumstances)
This really depends on the time of the year. We are busiest on weekends, during the summer, and at the end and beginning of each month. If you are moving during that time, we suggest contacting us as soon as possible and ideally with at least two weeks’ advance notice.
If you are moving during the week or during our slower season, we typically have more availability but we still recommend letting us know as soon as possible. If you need help last minute, don’t hesitate to contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
We have 26 foot box trucks which typically fit the equivalent of an 1800 square foot home. This of course depends on the individual but that is a relatively good rule of thumb.
Currently, we only offer moves within the state of Florida and do not offer moves that cross state lines.
All furniture items are padded and wrapped (or, depending on the item, banded with large rubber bands) before we ever pick it up or move it. That means that there will always be a layer of padding between your furniture and any walls, railings, or door jams that the furniture will be moved through.
Thus, by protecting the furniture, we also protect the home the furniture is being moved around in.
We protect floors that are easily damaged by laying pads in high traffic areas and spots where we will be dropping off boxes.
We are insured in Florida. In fact, all moving companies are required by the Florida Department of Motor of Vehicles and the Florida Department agriculture and Consumer Services to carry insurance for damaged or lost goods.
For anything of value over $2k, you may consider buying transit insurance which could provide you with complete coverage on everything rather than a declared value per pound. Transit insurance is not regulated by the Florida. Department of Insurance so be sure to carefully read the policy and understand the coverage and deductibles.
Currently, we do not provide transit insurance directly through our company. There are many trusted companies you can find with a quick search online that can provide this for you if you so desire.
Additionally, your homeowner insurance policy may cover about 10% of the value of your personal property. This includes coverage for breakage and theft in transit. Obviously, it’s not 100% but it’s additional coverage you may not have known about.
Finally, we have the required general liability coverage to move into most commercial and residential buildings.
We always recommend transporting jewelry, cash, prescription medicine, and other small valuables yourself. Just for your own peace of mind. As for especially valuable larger items (antique furniture, family heirlooms, valuable artwork, or anything with great sentimental or monetary value), please make sure to point these out to the movers before they begin moving so they can make sure to give the item the tender loving care it deserves. It is always helpful if you can alert us to this during the booking process as well (we will probably ask!).

We can help with the unloading of rental trucks or PODs but we don’t offer loading services. The reason we don’t offer loading services is that we don’t have control over the transportation of the rental truck or POD and we often don’t get the chance to use our own equipment (wraps, bands, straps) to protect the items during transit. Because of this, we can’t guarantee the quality of the overall move itself and thus don’t offer the service.
Yes. We offer complete packing services for residential and commercial moves.
